Jan Valentic

Senior Vice President, Regional Marketing

Jan is responsible for ensuring strategic consistency of the Company's regional marketing efforts, including coordinating the activities of the regional marketing leaders, growing regional marketing talents, and developing processes for supporting regional marketing efforts. She also has direct accountability for Southeast Region Marketing.

Most recently, Jan was senior vice president, Sustainability, accountable for aligning product innovation, operations, public outreach, partnerships and associate participation with the Company's commitment to the environment, water quality and conservation, and energy and waste reduction. Prior to this, she led North America Consumer Marketing Services and was responsible for all the activities that connect the business and consumers –consumer research, media, interactive and relationship marketing, retail promotions, sponsorships, the consumer contact center and creative design and packaging.

Before joining ScottsMiracle-Gro in March 2007, Jan was executive vice president and global lead for Team Microsoft with Young & Rubicam Brands in Seattle, Wash. She was also vice president of Global Marketing for Ford Motor Company.

Jan earned both her bachelor's and MBA degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
