Tim Portland

Senior Vice President and General Manager, North America Controls

Tim is responsible for North America's Controls business, which includes products and services that protect lawns, gardens and homes from pests, primarily under the Ortho® and Roundup® brands.

Tim joined ScottsMiracle-Gro in 1999 as head of strategic planning. He managed the Company's Global Professional Business from 2002 to 2003 and Scotts LawnService from 2004 to 2007. He was named to his current position in September 2007.

Before joining the ScottsMiracle-Gro team, Tim had management positions at Scientific-Atlanta and was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company.

He earned his bachelor of arts degree from Dartmouth College and his MBA degree from The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
